AUPRICA understands that institutional quality should endorse practices that have a strong link with their environment, especially with those organizations and entities that play a fundamental role in the socio-economic development of Nicaragua.

According to the need for greater involvement and commitment of the Nicaraguan institutions of higher education in resolving the nation’s socio-economic problems, this partnership aims to improve its position as a national reference in the three core areas of University Management: Teaching, Research, and Extension. From its position as an association which brings together educational institutions, AUPRICA positions itself also as a major player in the development and management of knowledge, preservation of the environment, and the promotion of peace and democracy.

AUPRICA sees great challenges on the road to reach those goals. It will focus on institutional development and provide considerations and guidelines to reach higher levels of efficiency in the management, to play a greater role nationally and internationally, as well as enhance the ability to make substantial contributions to science, technology, and the national economy. Innovation and modernization will allow the institutions to respond more efficiently to the demands posed by society.

This body of private universities is committed to the quality assurance of education in Nicaragua through the analysis and joint reflection, solidarity exchange and support for the institutional strengthening of its members; in a way that contributes to the economic, cultural and social development of Nicaragua.
