AUPRICA sponsors the reality of a dynamic university, based on and immersed in accelerated social, scientific and technological changes, and as a product that stimulates knowledge and learning, rather than a being a motor drives the change, and that, in one way or another, reflects new social problems in shorter attention times, and therefore requires effective action to provide responses to social, economic and business interests.

Action implies that each member of the Association University is subject to change, innovation, planning and better use of their resources in general, while relying on the strength of information systems, validation of permanent inter-institutional exchange of knowledge and research, and incorporating external environments and factors that help ensure the academic development according to the demands of society.

It must be noticed that the rapid changes in science and technology have resulted in the movement of economies, and have generated changes in the traditional paradigms of universities, inspired for research in all its dimensions, and are also the basis for providing a greater scope, and promote the development of countries.

With respect to the questions and the importance of the internationalization of Universities and education itself, it has been established, according to the criteria of the American Council on Education (ACE) and the Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement (CIGE), that with respect to the fundamental role that higher education is.

 

Playing in the currently changing world, that “Changes in communications, science, technology, and activity business have been reflected in the interconnection of the economy and internationalization, changing the role of the university as a social institution, are needed to meet the requirements and demands of contemporary society.

The trend towards globalization has urged higher education institutions to consider reviewing their strategic plans and to prioritize within the current educational internationalization. Within this framework, you can be sure that sustainable development of any university will call for an alternative change to meet the current big needs of students, the institution itself, country and the world as a whole.

In response to globalization, institutions of higher education, national governments and regional and international organizations, are giving a higher priority to the international dimension of higher education. It also affects the high school level of education (such as the evolution of ACT tests for example) on a local and national level.

In doing so, it helps the sector to respond to some of the challenges that are created by the globalization.

AUPRICA is a highly prestigious association that integrates nationally and internationally recognized private universities throughout the Central American region. It promotes leadership, academic excellence and social responsibility of each of its members, being a forum for consultation needed by governments to deal with major decisions and development projects in the region.

AUPRICA is an association of private universities committed to the assurance of quality education in the Central American region by joint analysis and reflection, solidarity exchange and support for strengthening institutional of its members, thus contributing to the integration and economic, cultural and social development of Central America.

The Association focuses on the development of dynamic processes, joint work with solicitous participation and an open attitude, commitment of all members to achieve common objectives related to educational quality in the region. It is the commitment to meet the educational expectations of society, implemented processes of continuous quality improvement, innovation, and actions, a projection that represent significant contributions to the improvement of daily life in the region.

It is committed to the recognition and measurement of multi-ethnic and multicultural nature of the Central American society, as well as the differences between member institutions. At the University level, this attitude is manifested by promoting dialogue, free expression of ideas, a coexistence of different worldviews and currents of thought and respect for fundamental rights of the people.

AUPRICA is committed to acting in consistency with the above-declared principles declared, taking decisions that are fair, impartial, accountable, based on defined criteria and without bias, prejudice or differentiated treatment for inappropriate reasons.

The association is aware of its duty to influence the solution of economic problems, political, ecological and cultural factors that affect the countries of the region through strengthening the social awareness of the university community and the promotion of actions arising from it.

The association is promoting quality higher education for the people of Central America, expanding coverage through private management education, and acting on independence, according to their own principles and framework normative.  It is strengthening the learning process through creative, innovative, and entrepreneurial teaching, so that the student is able to use the acquired knowledge, and learns to best implement new fields of personal or team actions.

AUPRICA raises awareness at Universities and educational institutions in the region to establish curricula that are based on responsibility, with a special focus on the comprehensive protection of the planet as the only means of survival for humanity and other living beings at all levels.

The Association aims to strengthen, through its members, adaptation of changes and demands of contemporary society, promoting gender equality and adhere to policies that have been established and adopted throughout Central America, such as the accessibility to an exchange of literature, bibliographic reproductions, and alike. It encourages the exchange of experiences, and access to large virtual libraries from across the globe, and online education and studies.
